Healthy Chocolate and Ginger Pancake Stack

Lots of healthy food blogs are making these pancakes. I have noticed that a lot of fittness fanatics add proten powder to their recipes but I don’t eat protein powder. Yes I exercise a lot, but I don’t really see a great need for it, so I go without. Plus it’s expensive and I’m still a student on a tight budget! Here’s my recipe:

Ingredients

Pancake

Half a cup of whole-meal flour

Half a cup of almond milk

1 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp cocopowder

a small piece of fresh ginger (grated)

1 egg

2 tbsp of honey

pinch of salt

Sauce

Water mixed with coco powder and natural yogurt. (Change your ratios depending on the thickness you like)

 

Method

Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and whisk thoroughly. Put some olive oil into a pan and spread over the pan once hot, remove the oil from the pan and put aside to reuse for the next pancake. Fry the pancakes on both sides. Then put your sauce on top!
